Farewell to Najka

Today we said goodbye to Najka, one of our beloved kitties. She became sick about a month ago. But seemed to get much better after a few weeks. After we came back from our trip to Boulder (posting coming soon) she seemed to relapse. We did an ultrasound on her belly and found a very big tumor in her intestine. The tumor was not visible when we checked before. The ultrasound also revealed that the wall of her intestines was raptured, which caused a massive infection. She was jaundiced and anemic. She seemed to be getting worse by the minute. So, we made a very hard decision to put her down. We will all miss her terribly! She was only 4 years old.
