It has been a while since Aria's birthday when we last posted. Not that we don't have much to say, but because we have been just so busy! Aria turned two and it seems she just does new things everyday. She amazes us with her wit and humor! Just today something exciting happened on the way to the store and Joe and I were both talking about it, and so we turned to Aria and said "was that exciting or what?" and she looked at both of us unamused and said "or what". She speaks in full sentences now (even though I have to translate a lot of it to someone who does not hang out with her all the time). She still loves babies (Ania is her favorite) and she loves to pretend to change our diapers. She also loves to role play where she is Baby Zizi (her 5 month old cousin Zia) and we are Zia's parents and we have to tow Aria around, pretend feed her bottles and pretend change her diapers. We also got a membership to the zoo and Aria loves the big elephants. She talks about her visits to the zoo all the time. The weather has been cool and only this past week it has felt like summer has finally come. We have a project that we are working on: the two back rooms of the house. We had to take the closet out in our bedroom and that has lead to a bunch of other things we ended up fixing on the back of the house (including removing some asbestos shingles). Joe is doing most the work on his own and he just keeps on amazing me in his ability to do handy work! I have been helping my mom around the cart. Fridays are the morning that I go in and help prep for the day. Mira's Ladle has been voted best food cart on Hawthorne by Eleven PDX magazine (a music magazine that not too many read, but it is still something!). Joe and I have not much planned for the summer. We just want to go camping a bunch and also a few trips to the beach. We have bought tickets to Poland for this fall...we leave in October and get back in January! We are looking forward to our new adventure. That's it for now. Below are some latest pictures...
