New Years 2012!!

After all of our moving and looking for apartments and all the stress associated with it, we decided to take it easy on New Year's Eve.  My dear friend Kasia and her family came to stay with us over the weekend.  We just relaxed at home, roasted two delicious chickens, baked a cake, drank a bunch of good alcohol, played games, and just hung out.  On New Year's Eve, Kasia and I decided to dress up and put on make up and get all fancy.  We stayed that way for about 2hrs and then we changed back to jeans and sweaters.  I really wanted to check out the main square though to see if they had anything fancy and exciting going on.  As it was already late, the guys decided to stay home with the kids, and Kasia and I went to the square.  We stayed for an hour, but not much was happening so we came back home just in time for fireworks.  We watched as people set fireworks off the bridge right by our house.  It was loud and stinky, but fun.  Kasia's son who is 5 years old stayed up till almost 2 am.  I was very impressed with his stamina.  After the weekend of fun with friends, I think we all finally relaxed and all the emotions of the past few months settled and we all promptly got sick.  Just head colds mostly with some coughing, nothing serious. We are all on the mend now.  Joe had a test today in his Polish class.  I think he did well...results yet to come.  Happy 2012!!!

I got this sausage for free at the store for spending 100zl.  It looked gross in the jar, but tasted quite good.
