The Little Blue Rocking Chair
The Little Blue Rocking Chair was made for Maude Wolfe when she was a little girl. Her grandfather, George Wolfe, made it around 1890. She and her three sisters, Mable, Mary and Marjory played with it in Rockford, Ohio.
Maude married Benjamin Harrison Eichenauer and had three children, Benjamin Wolfe, George Wolfe and Elizabeth Jane. They grew up on a farm near Celina, Ohio where they played with the Little Blue Rocking Chair. It went to Ben's house when he and Hilda Koch married.
Hilda and Ben's children, Sara Ann, Mary Jane and John Benjamin played with The Little Blue Rocking Chair in their home in Decatur, Indiana.
The Little Blue Rocking Chair stayed in Indiana at Mary Jane's home but there were no little children there. For many years no children played with The Little Blue Rocking Chair so it has now traveled to Portland, Oregon to Joe Eichenauer's house where Aria Rose, Simon Wolf and their cousin, Zia Moon can play with it and make it happy again.
Enjoy!
