It has been a while since we posted anything here. Really nothing new has been happening and we have been busy with visiting family for Thanksgiving. Arusia started saying "Mama" which makes me the winner of a bet I had with Joe (we were betting which word she would say first: mama or dada). Of course I have the clear advantage of spending all day with her and teaching her how to say it:-). She has been saying mama, dada, baba, papa, kaka, etc for a while, but on Wednesday she made the clear connection between the word and me! I must say it feels good.
We have had a very unusual weather here. It has been very cold (in the 20s) and sunny and windy. Aria does not like the wind, so we have been spending a lot more time indoors visiting friends, going to the mall, going to the library, visiting with Babcia. The days just go by very fast. Also, we have been getting ready for our first Christmas. I am very excited to be spending it here at our house. Joe and his brother Ben are going into the mountains this weekend to chop down a tree for us. It is fun and cheap. For $5 you get a permit to chop down any tree you want in a designated area. I wonder how Aria will react to a tree inside the house? I know Smoke loves it and will spend his entire time under it.
