Ariadna Turns 4!

I can't believe our girl is growing up so fast!  Has it really been 4 years already?  It seems like the time went by in a blink of an eye, and yet so much has happened.  It seems that as she gets older, time goes by faster.  We are so lucky to have such a wonderful daughter!
This year Aria had 3 parties... I know, way to many for a 4 year old, but we wanted to celebrate with everyone and we had to spread it out.

We first had a family gathering on Aria's actual birthday.  Bubbe wrote one of her famous birthday songs and we all sang (not very much on key), which Aria seemed to enjoy very much.

Rememberies: a word Aria made up for Memories :)

Aria has been riding on her scoot for almost a year now so we thought that she might be ready for a regular two wheeled bike.  She got one for her birthday and it took her about two hours to master how to ride it!  She loves it and is very proud of herself for being able to ride it!

After Aria's actual birthday we invited her entire Song Garden class for cupcake decorating.  Everyone showed up, including their siblings and both parents! It was a zoo, but the kids and everyone had a great time.  In addition, we couldn't have asked for better weather!  It was in the 80s and sunny, so I pulled out the pool and sprinklers.  It was a major hit :)

Finally, Aria's school celebrates each student's birthday by having both parents over for a 45min snack and story share.  We are also asked to bring a sweet treat for everyone to have (Aria asked for apple rice, which all the kids LOVED).  When we got there we were served a soup the kids made, followed by the sweet treat.  After that, the child of honor gets to wear a crown and a cape and we get to sing a birthday song and tell everyone a story about each year of Aria's life and show some pictures of the child as a baby.  After that, each child can say something about Aria. Most everyone said how much they like Aria's skirts, shirts, etc, except for Owen, who said "Aria, I love you!".  It was very sweet.  The teacher (Ms Nina) then gave Aria a present (a beeswax candle).  Aria loved being special and talked about the day for a while. The ceremony was very sweet and I felt particularly glad I got a glimpse into Aria's school world (she isn't very keen on sharing a lot about it with us).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARUSIA!  You are the apple of our eye and we love you more than all the tigers in the world :)
